Be Human Salon with Chris Reimer

What does it mean to be happy at work? What does happy look like? How do we achieve this happiness?

Chris Reimer, an award-winning social media strategist, entrepreneur, marketing communications specialist and author, was the featured guest at our most recent Be Human Salon on April 22, 2015. Chris spoke about happiness in the workplace and his recently published book, Happywork.

Eliot Frick, CEO and founder of BIGWIDESKY, engaged Chris in a lively discussion around how to achieve happiness at work as a manager, and as an employee. Highlights included conversation around these thoughts: What is the future of work and why does the word “work” carry negative connotations; Why we need to redefine what “work” means within business culture to effectively motivate employees; How millennials may be the reason reconstruction of organizational development is needed, and how that might look. Following their conversation, the two engaged the audience to join in with questions and comments. A casual reception followed allowing everyone an opportunity to meet Chris and continue the discussion.
